Even as a student, he was an advocate for change—in 2013, he founded Banned4Life, a movement that played a key role in ending the FDA’s lifetime ban on gay men donating blood.

After graduation, Nurse Blake worked in Level 1 trauma centers across the country, but an unexpected passion for social media transformed his career. What began as funny Facebook videos to de-stress quickly went viral, earning him nearly 4 million followers and a devoted fanbase of nurses and nursing students worldwide. The New York Times even hailed him as a “genuine phenomenon.”

Now, he takes his signature humor beyond the screen with his sold-out stand-up comedy tours, which have sold over 200,000 tickets worldwide.
